The RTM's preserved 86 class electric loco 8646 powered up outside the Redfern end of
Eveleigh Workshops, having been transferred from Thirlmere for 3801 Ltd crew training
for the Bondi tunnel spoil removal project. Unfortunately it failed with a traction motor
fault on its first train. In the left background is 3801 Ltd's main office in the former
Sydney suburban single deck 1958 car C3704. 25th September 2004.
