Come and join SETS for a fun day out as we inspect the restoration works along the Tarana Oberon branch
line in the Central West and join in the activities of the Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway's Spring Open Day.
The all day tour will take us firstly to see Tarana Railway Station, where the 24 km branch line commences,
then to Oberon, visiting the intermediate stations of Carlwood and Hazelgrove along the way. At Oberon, we
will visit the Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway Spring Open Day. The Open Day is planned to feature Steam
Traction Engines, guided tours of OTHRs rollingstock and restoration works as well as stalls and a BBQ
lunch (which is included in the tour fare).
Our tour will commence from Mt Victoria Railway Station (patrons will need to travel at their own expense on
the 7:18am train service from Sydney Terminal to Mt Victoria to meet the tour bus) which will depart at
10:00am. We expect to link up with the 5.36pm from Lithgow and 6.05pm from Mt Victoria for the return rail
journey towards Sydney.
