Join SETS on another amazing day trip to the Hunter Valley Steamfest, held
each year in the Maitland station precinct, this wonderful event features:
Steam engines 3830, 3642, 3265, a variety of rail motors and a whole
plethora of shows, talks and stalls. With plenty of things to see, do and
photograph you will not be disappointed.
In a double steam themed day we will also be visiting the Richmond Vale
Railway with the opportunity to walk through one of the state's most
comprehensive rail
museums and more live and very much running
locomotives. In addition to all the rail related relics there is an
abundance of other attractions including: mining
displays, a vintage power station, locomotive workshop and much more.
During the day refreshments such as cold drinks and crisps will be
available for purchase.
Our tour will commence at 7:30am at Hornsby (departing from Eastern
side - outside platform 1) and will pick up at Morisset along the way and
will return you to Hornsby by 6:00pm.
