Come and join SETS for a fun day out with a difference, with a tour to places that are rarely visited by Inter-urban trains. This will be a rail enthusiast tour not to be missed!
The train will consist of a 4 car V-set, with V21 requested. This will be the first of a series of planned SETS V-set farewell trips, due to the retirement of these trains. There will be a number of photo stops along the route.
Our tour will commence from Flemington Station at 0800, with additional pick up stops at 0815 and 0840 at Central. We will visit such places as the City Circle, Airport Line, East Hills Line, Leppington Line (including Leppington Yard), the Y-link and Richmond.
At Richmond we will have a short lunch-break for 30 minutes. After lunch we will visit Clyde, Rosehill, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Lavender Bay Car Sidings before concluding at Flemington at approximately 1600.
Our visit to Rosehill is expected to be the final occasion that a V Set will use the Carlingford Line, given that train services will cease permanently three weeks later!
Light refreshments will be available on board the train, with a variety of drinks and snacks, including muffins, chips and lollies. The train will have toilet facilities.
