THE DETAILS:
This tour will give everyone an opportunity to look behind the scenes at Flemington Maintenance Centre, home of the Intercity fleet and the largest of the three electric car maintenance centres. This is the Society's first visit to Flemington MC on a guided tour.
Travel will be by a chartered ex-government bus, leaving Sydney Terminal at 11.00 am. Don't miss this opportunity to photograph the variety of suburban and intercity electric rolling stock in storage or under attention. We are planning a few diversions on our return to Central, and details will be advised on the day. Please note that safety guidelines concerning our visit to this workshop environment must be observed at all times, and appropriate footwear is to be worn (i.e., fully covered footwear - no sandals or sneakers).
This tour is limited to 30 places so book early to avoid disappointment.
THE FARES ARE:
Adults $25, Concessions $20 and Children (16-18 years) $15. Our chartered ex-government bus will depart from Sydney Terminal outside Platform 1 at 11.00 am Pickup at Strathfield (north-side bus bay) at 11.30 am. We will return to Central (with set down stops at any point en route on prior request) at approximately 4.00 pm.
Please note tickets will not be mailed out prior to the tour. Please join the tour at your nominated pickup point.
